Mark Dickson is a Florida native and has been a resident of Hillsborough County since 1971. He has been employed by Hillsborough County government since 1988 in several positions including planning and engineering.

As part of Hillsborough County’s Information and Technology Services Department, Mark has been the manager of the enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) since July, 1999. He is responsible for an eight person staff that serves as liaison among internal GIS user groups as well as other government agencies. His team is also responsible for maintaining a centralized repository of location-based data sets, establishment of GIS standards and policy, application development and oversight of GIS planning and programs.

Mark is a member of both the national and Florida chapters of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA). He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Business Administration.
